Transforming a concrete courtyard or outdoor area yourself is rather straightforward: You may be surprised to find out just how easy it is to install artificial grass on concrete.
Before we share with you our simple step-by-step guide for installing artificial grass on concrete, there are a couple of things that you’ll need to consider:
Is your concrete in reasonable condition?
Large cracks may cause sections to lift and come loose and will not be suitable. However, minor cracks and undulations can be rectified using a self-levelling compound.
Are there current drainage issues?
Artificial grass will not cause any drainage issue, however, it will also not fix a problem. Ideally, there will be a slight fall on your concrete that will allow water to run off. If it puddles, it is not a cause for major concern, but you may find drilling some drainage holes in will help with preventing puddling on your fake lawn.
