How do I prepare for artificial grass?

Remove the existing grass and excavate the topsoil. Add your edging. Build your sub-base - we recommend using a 50-70mm layer of Type 1/MOT topped with a 20-30mm layer of Granite Dust. Compact this down. Lay your geotextile weed membrane (more on accessories here). Roll out your artificial grass (pile facing towards the house or main viewing point). Trim to size.
